María Soriano-Carot, Ph.D.

María obtained her PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology by the University of Valencia. In 2013 she moved to United States where she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the molecular and cell biology department at Boston University studying the signaling mechanism in response to genetic and oxidative stress. During that time, she carried out consulting work for the multinational Sekisui, she also was part of the board of directors of the association of Spanish scientist in USA and member of the editorial board of the Postdoc-Journal, and she embarked in the entrepreneurial adventure of co-founding IMFAHE. In 2016, she moved to London where she worked as outreach scientist at the international non-profit organization Addgene, where she facilitated scientific sharing and discovery. María also worked as a university lecturer and advisor of capstone projects. Currently she is the IMP-biomedicine co-director and vice president and project coordinator at IMFAHE where she is dedicated to design, develop and implement career development strategies and international educative programs.
